Information
Technique Workshop
Swimmers will learn about the technique we are going to try and master in the pool sessions. We will show and talk about how some of the best swimmers in the world swim as fast as they do and prepare everyone for the pool session so that we get the most out of our time in the water.
Pre-Pool Activation
Everything we do on our Swim Clinics is about helping swimmers become the best they can be and learning how to prepare for a swim session can have an enormous impact on that. We will teach swimmers the basics of pre-pool activation which is designed to make sure swimmers are ready to perform early in their training sessions and will help them with injury prevention and improving their athleticism.
Pool Session
In the water is where we aim to have our biggest impact. Swimmers will be coached through a technique session focussing on the aims and objectives of the Swim Clinic. We are in no rush here and the aim is make sure that EVERYTHING we do is done to the highest possible standards. Our coaches are experts at spotting individual technical developments and feeding them back to swimmers in a way that is easy for them to understand. We aim to make sure every swimmer goes away with personal ideas that they can take back to their home training environment to continue improving long after our Swim Clinic.
Being Coachable Workshop
Our 'Being Coachable' Workshop focusses on teaching swimmers how to be great athletes. The journey to success is a long and challenging one, and swimmers will encounter many people along the way that will help them realise their full potential. We aim to teach swimmers how to make the most of every opportunity that they get and how to make sure that they always use the feedback they are given to become better and better at what they love doing. This stuff doesn't only apply to swimming, it is one of many things that swimming can do to help young people grow and develop in to brilliant people.
Land Session
Land training is a crucial part of many swim programmes, particularly as swimmers get older, which is why we will start to teach swimmers how about all the different ways they can improve their performance in the water without getting wet. Our land sessions are designed to integrate an extra fun element to our Swim Clinics and hopefully help swimmers integrate with each other and grow their confidence.
Coaches
Mark Tanner | Head Coach

Our Head Coach Mark Tanner is a fully qualified Performance Swim Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach with over 10 years experience working as a Head Coach, coaching swimmers every single day to an elite standard. Mark studied at Loughborough University where he began his career coaching numerous Olympic and World Record holding swimmers under the mentorship of some of the best coaches in the world. Since graduating Mark has gone on to produce numerous National Champions and many National medalists, he has created a club based Performance Pathway which is recognised nationally for producing great results with a limited catchment area. This success has lead to Mark's numerous selections for National and International training camps and competitions. " I want to bring all the experience and knowledge that I've built up over the years and help young, aspiring swimmers lay the foundations they need to go on and achieve great success. I recognise that it isn't always possible in a day-to-day club training environment to provide the kind of in-depth, personalised feedback and tuition that we can on a focussed Swim Clinic which is why I want to encourage all the messages that we deliver to be taken back to home programmes so that swimmers continue to improve long after attending a day with us."
